if you work in customer service, and your company just shipped a damaged product to a customer, don't tell the customer "why don't you ship it back, and we'll check it out. if it proves defective then we'll replace it."
you just called me a liar. that's a good way to make me want to shop somewhere else.

I call people that call my support line liars all the time, but that's because they are. You're no liar though! I know that!
Yeah, that's one of them.
Another is when calling tech support and they keep insisting you run "ipconfig" when you have either Linux or Mac OS X.
And finally, my all time favorite: working in customer service by day and pissing and moaning about working in customer service by night.
