Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 is available.
Get it. If you're already using Firefox, this one's crazy faster and the memory leaks are fixed. If you're still using the browser that shipped with your operating system, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

I guess the latest release of webkit didn't ship with my OS but it still counts. Still, I shouldn't be that ashamed; webkit is only about twice as fast as the new firefox release :)
actually it's only twice as fast if you use a lame, outdated, non-exhaustive JavaScript benchmark like the one your brother looked up ;)
SunSpider is a bit more exhaustive test. check out these results (on my aluminum iMac): current safari (3152ms), webkit latest nightly (2009ms), and compare this to firefox 3rc1 (2957ms).
Actually, RC2 is on the servers, they just haven't publicized it yet. See this article:

nice :) thanks!
