design

hey dale harney, you missed a spot

hey dale harney: you forgot to remove cameron moll's name when you jacked his website.

never trust a "designer" who can't even design his own portfolio.

website jacked by Dale Harney

hat tip: north temple.

a brilliant example of text only typography

it's tough to find a good example of "text only" typography on the web. most designers eventually throw in the towel and use images... so you can imagine my excitement when i saw the site for Seed Conference 2008.

textey web typography goodness after the jump.

De-emphasis in design is every bit as important as emphasis

why there are parts of jeff croft's website redesign that you're not supposed to read. and why those parts don't have very high contrast.

i do the same thing.

time based interaction

check out this timeline based treasure map drawn by a six-year-old. i can't quite put my finger on why i like it so much, but it's an interesting perspective on interaction.
